Welcome to Wirral Advanced Motorcyclists WAM

We are an official provider of the IAM RoadSmart Advanced Rider training scheme (IAM RoadSmart Group 5115), as well as being a very active, friendly and welcoming riders’ club encompassing Wirral and surrounding area.

Whether you’ve just started out in motorcycling or you’re a seasoned old hand we can help you sharpen your skills and give you the tools to become a better, safer rider. Advanced rider training has been shown to substantially benefit the rider, better equipping them to avoid many of the typical accidents that affect them.

Wirral Advanced Motorcyclists is much more than motorcycle training - We are also a club of broad minded riders who love to ride motorbikes. We have a very active social network, with regular club meets, and weekly ride-outs.

Wirral Advanced Motorcyclists WAM was originally formed over 40 years ago in April 1980 and has been a very proactive group both socially and also delivering the Advanced Rider Course for the UK's premier road safety charity - IAM RoadSmart. Currently we have just over 150 members.

Our primary goal is to have fun on motorbikes and become safer, more skilled riders as we do so. Our membership is made up of people from all walks of life, riding a wide range of machines from sports bikes to cruisers.
